Finding the just-right career path in the just-right place takes time—for most everyone.

Logan N., a wealth service associate with Principal®, was no different. When a job opened at the Charlotte branch of Principal, Logan had some familiarity with the firm from a previous position. He and his wife relocated from Raleigh, North Carolina; Charlotte proved itself easy to embrace. “We had heard so many good things,” Logan says. “It’s very affordable and there’s tons to do.”

That includes easy (and fast) visits from family in Knoxville, Tennessee; tickets to pro teams including the Carolina Panthers, Charlotte Hornets, or Charlotte FC; and time on local golf courses.

Logan similarly appreciates the culture and autonomy Principal is known for. “The world of flexibility has changed, and Principal does it perfectly. There’s such a good balance with being able to flex and work from home two days a week. I always feel refreshed,” Logan says. “My wife is fully remote and so even though I’m working when I’m home, it’s allows me to spend more time with family.”

The Charlotte office amenities—including the gym—don’t hurt. “Things like that are such a great value add for employees,” he says. “I’m a professional, but also get to do things in life I enjoy. Principal allows their employees to be their best version of themselves.”

For Logan, the move to Charlotte to work for Principal was a win.  “It’s not just that I feel aligned with our investment philosophy,” Logan says. “Everyone I’ve worked with is spectacular, and it’s a feeling I’ve not had anywhere else. After my second week, I told my wife that I wanted to be with Principal for the rest of my career.”
